A 2008 trip to Rwanda and an introduction to Antoinette, a local dressmaker, ultimately led to founders Marc and Ines moving to Kigali where they developed their first collection in partnership with Antoinette.

Since its beginnings in Rwanda, the brand has expanded further, millecollines opened its first flagship store in Nairobi in 2010 and is currently based in Cape Town, growing the brand further into South Africa and internationally. Today the products are manufactured in Rwanda, Kenya and South Africa.

With a focus on traditional craftsmanship combined with unexpected materials, Mille Collines believes in honoring the artisans behind the brand and celebrating the inspiration and heritage found throughout the continent. We believe in the power of sharing honest stories through timeless products made in Africa.
